phi29 DNA Polymerase is a highly processive replicative polymerase derived from the Bacillus subtilis phage phi29 (Φ29). It features an extraordinary strand displacement capacity, synthesizing up to 70 kb per single binding event with exceptional speed and efficiency.

Equipped with robust 3' → 5' proofreading exonuclease activity, this polymerase ensures an exceptionally high level of fidelity during long DNA synthesis workflows.

Product Specifications & Storage

  • Purity: >95% based on SDS-PAGE verification.
  • Source: Recombinant E. coli strain expressing the bacteriophage phi29 gene.
  • Storage Buffer: 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.4 @ 25°C), 100 mM KCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 0.5% Tween-20, 0.5% NP-40, and 50% glycerol.
  • Reaction Buffer (10X): 500 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5 @ 25°C), 100 mM (NH4)2SO4, 40 mM DTT, and 100 mM MgCl2.
