Ordering and Shipping Information

Orders are placed online via the secure Shopping Cart or by email at info@amidbiosciences.com.

  • Email Orders: Require institution/account number (if known), your name and phone number, end-user name and phone number, billing and shipping addresses, catalog number, product name, quantity, and valid purchase order or credit card information (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
  • Payment: We accept major credit cards, Paypal, and purchase orders. Purchase orders are due NET 10 days.
  • Packaging: Products requiring 2°C to 8°C are packaged in plastic foam boxes with gel ice packs. Competent cells and kits are packaged on dry ice. Enzymes in glycerol will freeze when shipped on dry ice; repeated freeze/thaw cycles may lower activity.
  • Shipping Fees: Free shipping is offered for orders:
  1. $500.00 and over for San Francisco Bay Area customers.
  2. $1000.00 and above for all other United States available locations.
  • Shipping Method: To ensure product activity, we ship via express delivery services: UPS Next Day Air Saver, DHL Express, FedEx overnight and 2nd Day delivery. Customers may request shipping using their own account number with these carriers. Shipping rates at checkout are estimates only. Dry ice fees and actual shipping fees are adjusted in the final invoice.
  • Delivery Schedule: Orders received Monday through Thursday by 2:30 PM (PST) are shipped the same day for next business day delivery by FedEx or UPS. Orders placed before 5:00 PM (PST) on Friday will be shipped Monday.

 

Risk of Loss and Liability

All products are sold FCA (Free Carrier) our facility. Products are considered “delivered” when loaded onto the commercial carrier at our facility, at which point the customer assumes the risk of loss and damage. Title to products passes upon delivery to the carrier. Delivery dates and times are estimates only, and we are not liable for losses caused by late delivery.

  • Lost or Damaged Shipments: We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. The customer is responsible for all costs associated with replacement. The customer must place a new order and file all claims with the shipping carrier. We do not offer reimbursements for goods damaged or lost during delivery.
  • International Shipments: The customer is responsible for all taxes, customs-related duties, and fees incurred on the shipment. We are not responsible for international shipping/customs delays. If a package is shipped back due to unpaid customs, we will not refund the order.

Return Policy 

Due to the temperature-sensitive nature and strict quality control of our biotechnology products (reagents, enzymes, and custom products), all sales are final, and we do not accept returns for correctly filled orders. This policy ensures product quality and safety.

  • Damaged or Defective Items: Report within 5 days of receipt by contacting info@amidbiosciences.com with your order number and providing photographic evidence or data showing product failure. Valid claims will receive a free replacement or a full credit.
  • Shipping Errors (Incorrect Shipments): Report incorrect shipments within 5 business days of delivery. The correct item will be shipped immediately at no extra cost; do not open or use the incorrectly shipped items.
