SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 Protein, Recombinant, AviTag
The coronavirus Spike protein (S protein) is a large oligomeric transmembrane protein that mediates coronavirus entry into host cells. It contains S1 and S2 subunits. The coronavirus first binds to a receptor on the host cell surface through Spike S1 subunit, and then fuses viral and host membranes through Spike S2 subunit. S1 subunit contains N-terminal domain (NTD), receptor binding domain (RBD), and receptor binding motif (RBM).
A DNA sequence encoding the SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) spike protein S1 Subunit (YP_009724390.1) (Val16-Arg685) was expressed with the 8XHis tag and AviTag at the N-terminus.
